Greyscale
Photos with Color Accents
(click the pics for bigger view)
First start by opening the file you wish to modify...
Create a duplicate layer by dragging your current layer to the new layer button in the lower right corner of your layers tab (circled here in red)...
Next, Desaturate this current layer by either pressing ctrl+shift+U or following the menus in this screenshot...
Now click the create new mask button (circled in red) to place a mask on the current desaturated layer...
Ok, the fun part :) User your eraser tool (circled in red) and erase out what you want to be in color...
If you go over, it's ok!...
Just take your paintbrush tool, and color what you want to be greyscale again...
Much better ;)
Now to save your photo for the web! First resize to a decent size (For web I like around 300x400 or smaller) if you haven't already, then go to File>Save for Web (or alt+ctrl+shift+S)...
You'll get a box similar to the one below...
Hit 'Save' and your done! Congrats! :D
